Pitching/Hitting Physical Screen

A physical screen will help identify any physical limitations such as range of motion loss, stiffness/tightness, weakness, balance and stability deficits, etc that may be hindering a player’s ability to pitch or swing efficiently. There are up to 12-16 different screens that are performed to identify these limitations from head to toe. This screen is not a generic physical screen and is highly specific to the movements a baseball player has to make during a pitch/swing. The results will provide insight into why you pitch/swing a certain way and a game plan will be established to correct/improve any limitations.

Pitching/Hitting Video Analysis

Video analysis is typically used in conjunction with the physical screen to get the “full picture” of a player’s pitching/hitting. This analysis can help identify the “Big 12 or Big 13,” which are the most common inhibitors to an efficient pitch or swing. A player will be able to maximize his efficiency, increase pitch velocity, improve swing power, and exit velocity by correcting any physical limitations as well as technique/mechanics which are found through the combination of a physical screen and video analysis.

All skill levels are welcome. Individual sessions as well as group/team sessions available. Contact us for details.

Dry Needling

What is dry needling? It is a technique used by physical therapists to help alleviate pain and movement impairments by using a thin, mono-filament needle to release myofascial trigger points. It is termed “dry” needling because there is no injection or medication in the needle. Dry needling is not acupuncture.

Recovery

Recovery is an essential component of a training program. It will prevent over-training and reduce injury risk. Give your body what it wants and book a recovery session. Sessions include stretching, massage, Normatec compression boots, Hypervolt Massage Gun, and training/program modifications for optimal performance.

Also, make sure your diet/nutrition is appropriate for your goals. And get plenty of sleep! Contact us for advice.
